Savage Worlds - Fallout: A Pale Horse
The town of Kettlestock is the largest occupied settlement in New Astoria. Built in the ruins of a Pre-War rest area at the intersection of two Pre-war highways, the area is a natural location for people to gather and over the years eventually became a location where people chose to settle as well. Kettlestock is the closest thing the region has to a trading center, though most new merchants who make the trip that far north are disappointed to see how small it really is. Others like the small, low pressure feel of Kettlestock versus the hubub and chaos of trading centers in the NCR.
Kettlestock is well reinforced against raider attacks, with several very high towers and a volunteer sniper squad watching in shifts through the day and night. The sniper towers are well defended as well, and the snipers have a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. Any force large enough to threaten the makeshift walls can be easily spotted before they get within striking distance of the town.
